  1. Merry Christmas to you and your readers also!
Love the red and green metates!
I saw the moon rise last night, beautiful!

  2. Thank you Pat and a Merry Christmas to you and yours. Most folks think metates are just plain rocks fashioned for use, but clearly the original inhabitants had a sense of style and color.

    1. Son John is here for Christmas and the weekend. You met him years ago at Judie's dinner. We plan to see Judie's light display today. Had a wee bit of snow outside on the deck but its not sticking to the gravel. Hope the drive is okay.

  3. I also have a "wee bit of snow" this morning but nothing is sticking so things are fine up this way. Glad to hear you have some family around for the holidays. I spoke with my family yesterday and all were gathered for Christmas dinner.

    1. woke up to snow THIS morning! maybe 1 inch but drifted to 4 inches in places. Willis regretted not keeping at least ONE snow shovel! He swept the deck off. Snow is melting now. John is headed back to Tempe and weather can only get better thatta way, less wind, warmer temps. He'll call us when he arrives home.

    2. John called in 4.25 hours that he had arrived home AOK. He must have been FLYING! Willis has water running in one back bathroom sink. El Nino can go somewhere else now. Mopsy had a seizure so that's why I'm up this early.

  4. We got an inch of snow also, but I'd rather see water in its solid form from a distance. Sorry to hear about Mopsy, seizures were one of the free gifts I got with the brain tumor and they are a pain, so I can empathize with your situation. Another chilly morning with guests but we are going hiking this afternoon.
