Chiricahua Pelocnillo Heritage Days 2011

Another Chiricahua Peloncillo Heritage Days is now over.  Starting Friday night with a reception and keynote address on fire ecology and the recent Horseshoe 2 Fire at the Chircahua Desert Museum,  Heritage days continued with 2 days of talks at the Chiricahua Event Center.  A wide variety of talks ranging from art to ranch history were presented to a crowd of about 70 people.  Lunch both days was hosted by La Beuna Vida Farms and a farmers market was held outside both days.  A special thanks to Kim Vacariu, western director of the Wildlands Network for putting together another great event and to the Wildlands Network for their support.   The newest group in the canyon, Friends of Cave Creek Canyon, was also represented.
