Friends of Cave Creek Canyon - Garden Work Day
The Friends of Cave Creek Canyon held a work day in the gardens planted last year by the visitors center in Cave Creek Canyon. Eight participants turned out for the event and a sunny Saturday morning was spent removing weeds and laying ground barriers around several of the planting areas to reduce future weeding. Images from the event are shown below.

Thanks to the faithful folks who help. Today they are starting their "invasive species" removal at SWRS with help from the SWRS volunteers. A 10 year project at least. I need a vehicle for our rough road. I live so far from these events, I have only gotten to 1 event of dozens.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your sentiment about the roads. With 3 miles of dirt road (between Highway 80 and PPR) I do lots of road work to maintain comfortable access to the estate.
