Hiking in the Peloncillo Mountains

The previous posting included only the panorama taken at the saddle atop Mouser Canyon in the Peloncillo Mountains in the bootheel of New Mexico.  Below are some other photographs taken along the route.  The map may be viewed on Google Maps or in the sidebar.

The 6 mile round trip was not all of the hike.  After lunch at the saddle, some of the group continued on up the south peak for a view from the top adding an additional 3 miles to the hike while others returned down the canyon.
