It is time again for the Chiricahua Peloncillo Heritage Days celebrating the areas natural and cultural heritage. The weekend of events starts with a reception and talk Friday evening at the
Chiricahua Desert Museum. On Saturday there will be talks, along with food and a farmers market at the
Chiricahua Event Center. On Sunday several excursions are planned, one to visit some rock art sites in the area and another on raptors in the Chiricahua Mountains. It is shaping up to be another fine event.

This is always a great event to learn so much about the Boot Heel, I have been to all 4 so far and plan to attend this one.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe this is the 5th year Heritage days has been held.
ReplyDeleteSunday field trips sounds like a great plan. It was too much sitting! But I'll miss Sunday field trips because of church. I do want to hear about the Scholes research station in the Peloncillos. I knew the Scholes, especially Katie who was in Sew What with us, but I never knew what they did up there. They sure get some good topics!
ReplyDeleteIt should be another informative heritage days. I wonder what will happen with the Bio Research Ranch now?
